77. Pistil Stitch

Pistil Stitch is a nice little stitch, a French Knot with a tail. Easy to learn if you already know French Knot.

imageFor my son’s wedding I was wearing this dress with flowers in Pistil Stitch.

The tail is very long so I coached it down.

75. Raised Herringbone Band

imageI hesitated very long until I tried Raised Herringbone Band on my Paradise Flower print. When I finally gave it a try the turned out quite well and I am very pleased with the result.

74. Buttonholed Cable Chain Stitch

Buttonholed Cable Chain Stitch looks more complicated than it is. On a foundation of Cable Chain Stitch you wrap Buttenhole stitch around it. It is slow so take your time.

73. Algerian Eye Stitch

image

I love most stitches except this one, Algerian Eye Stitch. I don’t know why. It is impossible to make this stitch fit an irregular form as a flower motif. Here is my attempt anyway.
