Stitch 105: Buttonhole Picot Stitch

During week 17 of TAST 2019 I saw Buttonhole Picot Stitch, for the first time

There are two ways to do the picot. Here is a Bullion Knot in combination with Blanket Stitch.

Here is another one. I tried to hide the black lines with a thread.

Another one. I tried to hide some of the black lines with a thread.

Here is the second method, three Chain stitches ”in the air” in combination with Buttonhole Stitch.

Both variants are slow to sew and not easy to get nice and tidy. A lot of practice is needed to master them.
